About the company

Remote World is partnering with a South African management consulting firm to hire for this role. They advise corporates and government clients on strategy and their research output is what clients pay for.

The role

Youll research industries companies and markets to support client engagements gathering data synthesising findings and helping consultants build decks and reports. This is a role for someone who loves digging into a topic and surfacing the insight that matters.

What youll do

• Research industries companies and competitors using online sources and databases
• Synthesise findings into clear concise summaries and slide inputs
• Build financial models and data tables to support analysis
• Keep track of sources and maintain research files
• Support consultants in preparing client presentations and reports

What youll need

• Excellent research skills you know how to find reliable information fast
• Strong written English for summaries and slide content
• Analytically minded comfortable with numbers and data
• Organised and able to juggle multiple research threads

Nice to have

• Background in economics business or a related field
• Experience with any market research databases (Statista Bloomberg etc.)
• Basic financial modelling in Excel
