• Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
• Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
• Evaluates students progress and completes required documentation in a timely manner
• Interacts professionally with parents/guardians after each swim lesson on the activities and development of students swim skills
• Uses problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter
• Assists with setting up the pool prior to lessons and cleaning up after lessons including proper storage of all pool equipment and lane lines
• Attend required/mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
  
  

• No experience is necessary. With paid training provided this is a great job for recent high school graduates and/or college students.
• Experience as a certified lifeguard youth sports instructor/coach camp counselor and/or childcare provider is a plus!
• Weekend availability required
• Ability to work with children
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Must pass background examinations (included with training)
• Instructor/coach camp counselor and/or childcare provider a plus
• High School Diploma/GED required Some College preferred
• Lifeguard CPR/AED and First Aid certifications are obtainable by employees in the future and are rewarded with additional compensation upon completion
• For those not certified Goldfish Swim School provides training at no cost to the employee while they undergo their paid training
• Certification courses in our facility which all employees are required to complete within 3 months of employment.
