• Perform Pedo Prophies
• Chairside assist doctors
• Float assisting
• Assemble instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area positioning instruments for the dentists access suctioning and passing instruments
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene instructions
• Contribute to team effort by helping where needed
• Welcome the patient and explain dental care treatment plans so they feel comfortable during their appointment
• Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use
• Help dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction handing off dental instruments and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team
• Answer any questions the patient may have about dental hygiene schedule appointments for patient care follow-up and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patients teeth and gums after procedures
• Evaluate and document vital signs for patients and update medical records

• Dental assistance or schooling is given preference
• Experience with children
• Strong interpersonal skills customer service organization and excellent communication skills are essential
