The ideal candidate will have demonstrated capabilities in collaborating with others to perform sales engineering tasks within a team environment. Work experience with a privately-held company will be beneficial.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Sales Engineer will:
- Work with Sales Manager and Supervisor to determine sales strategy equipment/system requirements perform preliminary design calculations create preliminary flow diagrams and interface with other UCC Environmental groups as necessary.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects and review estimates with Sales Manager and Supervisor as necessary prior to proposal submittal.
- Prepare proposal documents using standard UCC Environmental formats ensuring accuracy of information professional presentation of offering effectiveness of submittal and adherence to UCC Environmental commercial and technical guidelines.
- Work directly with clients and sales representatives to define customers needs and recommend viable solutions. Visit customers sites to support proposal activity.
- Maintain customer contact after the proposal is submitted providing follow-up responses and additional information as necessary during the customers evaluation process.
- Communicate project award information to the organization in a timely manner following UCC Environmental formatting and internal standards. All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor of Engineering
- Master Degree Candidate
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in technical sales in a custom engineered manufacturing setting.
- Experience in heavy industry or electric power culture with knowledge of contract development cycle.

- Ability to sit or stand at a desk using a computer 80% of the time.
- Ability to climb up and down stairs and ladders at client sites.
