Abington Friends School seeks an upper school mathematics teacher. The responsibilities of the position include:

  • Teaching two to four sections of Mathematics. Course offerings range from Algebra I through AP Calculus. We seek as much flexibility as possible. Course assignments will be based on a candidates expertise and departmental needs.

  • Engaging in a student-centered approach to teaching; the ideal candidate will have experience with the facilitation of collaborative work in the math classroom.

  • Providing constructive timely feedback to students and families through grading maintaining digital records email communication and quarterly comment writing.

  • Creating availability outside classroom hours to meet with students for extra help as needed.

Educational and Professional Background:

A minimum of a bachelors degree in a math-related field is required. Experience with upper school students in a math classroom is preferred.
