Job Summary

Position Role: SO3 Joint Effects is part of the HQ 16X Plans Team and provides specialist Joint Effects knowledge and advice to SO2 J5 COS 16X and Comd 16X.

1. Support SO2s J5 & J35 by providing Joint Effects expertise to FUPLANS and FUOPS - in camp and deployed.
2. Liaise with higher HQs (LOC 3XX JFHQ PJHQ ARRC 82nd ABN DIV) to ensure integration and alignment of land activity with operational and strategic outputs.
3. Represent 16X at all Military Strategic Effects / Joint Effects Working Groups.
4. Work with Army Comms and the Dir of Def Comms to plan and cohere 16Xs approach to media engagement. Act as a Bde POC for all Unit Media Officers.
5. Act as the Bde HQs primary staff interlocutor with the 16X JETG (7 RHA) and the Deep Recce Strike Bde.
6. In conjunction with 16X JETG (7 RHA) assess audience reactions to 16X activities recommending counteractions and adjustment in posture profile and presence as required.
7. Provide additional surge support to SO2 J5 and SO2 J35 as required.
