Speech and Language Pathologists (SLP) Long Term Care (LTC) (Days) Oregon, MO

• M-F 8 hr days- Times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with DOR. We do ask the therapists start time is before 6AM and no later than 10AM./35 GWW

• Contract: 13 weeks

• Hourly Pay: $ 33.00
  
• Non-taxed Stipend: $1246.00
  
• Weekly Total Pay: $2236
  
• Weekend Requirements: No weekends unless a holiday falls within M-F then they can make the hours up on the weekend.
  

• Effectively screens/evaluates/rehabilitate patients with communication cognitive or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
  
• Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.
  
• Assesses patients progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
  
• Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to patient evaluation and referrals are made in relation to outcomes.
  
• Provides consultation and counseling to patients as well as families caregivers and other service providers related to speech disorders.
  
• Effectively communicates with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress barriers and treatment plans.
  
• Provides comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
  
• Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy
  
• Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements.
  
• Participation in required meetings including but not limited to: patient care conferences utilization review meetings rehabilitation meetings etc.
  
• Participate in facility and company required training in-services and conferences.
  
• Able to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
  
• Able to supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists
  
• Adherence to ASHA and State Required practice acts code of conduct ethics during professional practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  

Compensation:

Requirements

• 1 year of SLP experience is required
  
• New Grads OKAY- as long as a Level II experience and not just a Level I observation experience
  
• LTC or Rehab experience is required
  
• MO State License is required
  
• CCC certified SLP is required
  
• 3 years experience holding active CCS is preferred
  
• Will accept one Reference at time of submission
  
• Must be submitted at the posted rate if requested rate is higher candidate will be redirected
  
• Missouri State License Requirements is required
  
• Active ASHA and State Licensures is required
  
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  
• Strong communication professionalism and reliability
