Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager of ICT the Network Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation maintenance and support of the organizations network infrastructure to ensure reliable secure and efficient connectivity for clinical and business systems. This role exists to provide operational continuity of the network environment through routine administration monitoring and troubleshooting activities.

The Network Administrator performs standard network configurations and changes resolves common network issues supports clinical system connectivity projects and maintains accurate network documentation and diagrams. The role works closely with ICT Technical Analysts Cyber Security Analysts and clinical stakeholders to support system availability and performance while escalating complex network design advanced configurations or high-risk changes to the Senior Network Administrator.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance availability and connectivity
  • Perform routine operational tasks to ensure network stability
  • Diagnose and resolve common network issues following established procedures
  • Participate in clinical and infrastructure projects as an operational resource
  • Implement routine network changes and configurations
  • Support network connectivity for clinical systems and medical devices
  • Participate in clinical and infrastructure projects as an operational resource
  • Ensure network requirements are met for new or upgraded clinical systems
  • Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams
  • Update configuration records and asset inventories

Mandatory Qualifications

  • 2-Year College Diploma in Computer Science Information Technology/Systems Computer Networks or related field
  • CCNA Certification obtained or in progress required
  • 2-3 years of previous experience supporting enterprise networks
  • Previous knowledge of organization security and compliance
  • Previous hospital experience preferred
  • Strong organizational time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across all levels of the organization
  • Criminal Record Check required
  • 100% onsite presence is required for this role

Core Competencies

  • Experience in TCP/IP Subnetting DNS DHCP VLANs and basic routing
  • VPN and VPN IPSEC Connectivity
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN concepts
  • Proven ability to set and shift priorities to meet a variety of timelines
