Position Summary

We are seeking a detailoriented and motivated insurance professional to join our Casualty brokerage team in Kansas City. Depending on experience this position may be filled at the Broker Assistant or Account Executive level. This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates earlycareer professionals or experienced insurance professionals looking to grow within a collaborative brokerage environment. This role supports a highvolume highcomplexity book of business specializing in various real estate accounts.

Location: This is a full time on site role that will report to our Kansas City office. (1100 Walnut St. Suite 3200 Kansas City MO 64106)

What will your job entail

Broker Assistant (EntryLevel / OperationsFocused)

The Broker Assistant provides daytoday operational and administrative support to ensure smooth brokerage execution and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support brokers with daily operations paperwork processing and transaction coordination

  • Prepare and organize renewal and new business documents including cover letters and filing materials

  • Maintain accurate client and policy data across internal systems

  • Ensure records endorsements and documentation are complete and compliant

  • Respond to broker requests and basic client inquiries via phone email or chat

  • Assist with compliance reporting and collaborate with brokerage finance and risk teams

  • Support ad hoc tasks and operational improvement initiatives

Ideal Background:

  • New graduates or candidates with less than 1 year of insurance or underwriting experience

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Interest in building a career in brokerage or insurance operations

Account Executive (Experienced / Account SupportFocused)

The Account Executive partners closely with brokers to manage accounts support renewals and new business and deliver highquality client service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accounts for renewals and new business submissions under broker direction

  • Support market submissions review quotes and ensure accuracy of policy documents and invoices

  • Collaborate with brokers on renewal strategy client retention and referralbased new business

  • Evaluate account risks and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards

  • Analyze account data and generate reports to inform portfolio trends and opportunities

  • Coordinate with internal teams including Premium Accounting to resolve invoicing or cancellation issues

  • Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for prospective clients

Ideal Background:

  • 2 years of insurance industry experience

  • Experience supporting casualty accounts renewals or client service

  • Strong communication and analytical skills with attention to detail

Education Licensing & Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree required (Business Risk Management Sales or related fields preferred; equivalent experience considered)

  • State Property & Casualty and/or surplus lines licensing required or ability to obtain

  • Professional certifications (CISR CIL) preferred for Account Executive level

The target salary range for this position is $54250.00 - $65000.00 annually.

The wage range for this role considers many factors such as training transferable skills work experience licensure and certification business needs and market demands.
