Responsibilities: Direct the efforts of the human resources team to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external constituents; support educational performance and financial stability of the division provide leadership vision and strategic direction for the divisions recruitment selection and performance management initiatives; employee relations and investigations; address complaints and resolve problems; various legal matters pertaining to employmentand/or Title IX matters.

Qualifications:
Preferred candidate will have Masters degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations or Educational Leadership. Five to seven years of experience in an exempt-level human resources leadership position or a leadership/management position preferably with a school division and/or a local/state/federal agency. Human Resource Certification preferred.
The position requires outstanding personal and professional characteristics; dynamic and proven leadership; ability to work effectively with school personnel and members of the community; superior writing and speaking skills; mastery of human resourceknowledge and employment law; demonstrated leadership in the management of human resources; and a master at team development to achieve results.
Location:
Winchester Public Schools is comprised of one high school one middle school one intermediate school four elementary schools including Pre-K programs and one alternative education program serving over 4000 students supported by approximately 725 full-time employees. Winchester is situated in the picturesque Shenandoah Valley of Virginia 65 miles northwest of Washington D.C. Salary:
Commensurate with experience. Range is $120510 - $185583 based on the 2026-2027 salary scale. Salary includes payment for Masters Degree. Additional $8460 for earned Doctorate Degree.
