The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring a Flight Operations Engineering (FLOE) First Line Manager (Level K). FLOE is part of the BCA Customer Support organization. This position is based in Seal Beach California.
Position Overview:
As the Manager you will be leading the Flight Crew Operations Manual (FCOM) will collaborate closely with BCA Airplane Programs BGS Mods and Conversions Flight Technical and Safety Customer Engineering and other organizations to support the development production and delivery of this critical operational document. You will lead and advocate for a skilled team committed to delivering the highest quality output contributing to the safe and efficient operation of the Boeing this role you will also engage with customers around the world to gather feedback understand operational requirements and stay informed of industry trends with the goal of enhancing the customer experience and consistently exceeding expectations.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees perform engineering and technical activities within Product Support.
Develops and executes project and process plans implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquiring resources and funding for projects and processes provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes and provides technical guidance to resolve engineering issues.
Manages develops and motivates employees.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Seal Beach CA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics or Chemistry.
5 years ofexperience in support of aerospace products which should include commercial and/or military airplane flight operations.
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader temp manager large scale cross functionalproject/program management or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course Exploring Leadership.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2 years of experience leading or managing an engineering team.
Proven ability to embrace change lead continuous improvement and treat safety and quality as top priorities.
Experience in customer support.
Experience in flight operations (airplane safety crew operations flight deck and/or systems design learning/training and/or human factors)
Experience leading complex projects.
Knowledge of industry trends (customers regulators competitors etc).
Willingness and ability to manage ambiguity and turn it into action.
