Job Summary

Service Leader Lifeline Crisis Support Queensland

  • Employment Term:Permanent full-time

  • Location:Can be based in any of the following regions Cairns Townsville Wide Bay Burnett Rockhampton Sunshine Coast Ipswich Brisbane and Gold Coast

  • Remuneration:$110k Super NFP salary packaging of up to $15900 & $2650 for meals & entertainment

Your partin our UnitingCare team

We are seeking a Service Leader to manage the operational and business administration function of the Lifeline Crisis Support service and provide professional leadership to Lifeline Crisis Support employees with emphasis on delivery of high quality best practice service delivery and strong engagement of Crisis Supporters.

This role is required to work collaboratively with its team and the other Centre Service Leaders to drive maximum benefit for help seekers accessing Lifeline service

In addition you will:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the Service to ensure that goals and objectives are met as required and within prescribed time frames and parameters.

  • Work within relevant practice and quality frameworks and risk management plans and identify and inform management of current or potential risks that may impact on service delivery the operations of the organisation and in particular the safety of clients and employees.

  • Provide professional leadership to Crisis Support employees through participative supervision professional development and performance management with service excellence for our clients as a continued priority.

  • Maintain a proactive focus on service recruitment and use the state-wide Training Schedule to plan training to meet student and service needs.

  • Assess students in Lifeline accredited training where qualified to doso.

  • Coordinate and facilitate recruitment of volunteer crisis supporters and rostering activities as required.

  • Evaluate recruitment and learning activities report on outcomes and utilise data to inform planning.

What makes a difference for us

  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field (e.g. Social Work Psychology or Social Science) as required by relevant service contract/s

  • Lesser formal qualifications with acquisition of considerable skills and extensive and diverse relevant experience to an equivalent standard

  • Experience working in crisis support

  • Current drivers licence

  • Positive Blue Card

  • Willingness to undergo a Criminal History check
