Senior Sales Representative Asphalt

Reporting to the General Manager Asphalt this position will support sales marketing and customer engagement activities for asphalt products within the Edmonton market. The successful candidate will coordinate daily quotations maintain strong customer relationships gather market intelligence and provide technical support to customers. This role plays a key part in supporting pricing strategy identifying market opportunities and maintaining strong responsiveness to customer needs.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage daily quotations ensuring accuracy organization and timely distribution aligned with internal pricing strategy.
Provide technical support and knowledge related to asphalt products mix types and plant capabilities
Conduct regular customer follow-up to gather market intelligence identify upcoming projects track competitive activity and obtain bid feedback
Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding projects opportunities and job-specific requirements
Resolve customer concerns in a timely manner to maintain strong relationships and service levels
Represent the company within the business community and industry associations
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement site visits and industry events
Support strategic planning budgeting and pricing decisions through customer insights market trends and competitive activity
Skills and Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Business Marketing or equivalent industry experience
Knowledge of hot mix asphalt (HMA) products aggregate materials plant operations and basic HMA mix design and quality control concepts is considered an asset
Professional sales experience
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Strong analytical and computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to manage priorities meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated initiative flexibility and willingness to learn new skills
Experience within the asphalt aggregates concrete or materials supply industry is considered an asset
