  • Clerk Grade 11/12 Salary from $149739 up to $173174 per annum (FTE) plus super and leave loading

About the Role
The Manager Sheep & Goat Traceability is a senior leadership role with responsibility for leading the delivery of the NSW sheep and goat traceability program including the transition from implementation to ongoing management and informing future policy development. The role plays a critical part in strengthening livestock traceability arrangements in NSW and supporting national alignment.

The Manager Sheep & Goat Traceability will:

  • Lead and manage a highperforming team delivering the NSW sheep and goat traceability program including the transition to full program execution in 2027
  • Provide expert leadership on livestock traceability strategy policy and program delivery incorporating contemporary national and international traceability systems
  • Drive governance arrangements associated with the program including internal and industrydriven forums
  • Oversee grants programs related to the transition to management ensuring strong financial governance and reporting oversight
  • Prepare and coordinate highlevel advice briefings cabinet submissions correspondence and reports on complex and often timecritical issues
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders other NSW agencies Commonwealth and interstate jurisdictions and industry representatives
  • Actively contribute to the Agriculture leadership team and support transparent timely communication across the program and broader division.
  • The role has responsibility for budget management resource allocation people leadership and ensuring a strong safety culture.

About You
You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in livestock traceability biosecurity or related regulatory or industry programs
  • Strong capability inseniorlevelpolicy analysis programmanagementand stakeholder engagement
  • Proven people leadership experience including building capability managingperformanceand leading change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to translate complex technical and policy information for diverse audiences
  • A collaborativeoutcomesfocusedapproach with sound judgement in complex sensitive andhighprofileenvironments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. Agriculture Veterinary Science Food Technology Public Policy or similar) or equivalent experience arerequired along with a current NSW Class C Driver Licence.
