We put people above all else strive to be our best and welcome new ideas to deliver positive to the Director Business Services and Operational Resilience the Business Services and Operational Resilience Manager provides enterprise expertise in leading and coordinating Operational Resilience and Crisis Management activities across the organization. This role is accountable for the development maintenance testing and continuous improvement of Operational Resilience crisis management and disaster recovery plans while supporting the governance and leadership of the Operational Resilience Steering Committee. Working closely with business lines and corporate functions the Manager ensures the organization is prepared to respond to recover from and restore operations following disruptions effectively managing business interruption risk in alignment with organizational priorities and resilience one of the regions top employers and be part of something that truly makes a Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum youll do:Lead and maintain enterprise Operational Resilience Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery programs Define and oversee Operational Resilience plans with business risk compliance and data governance partners Lead enterprisewide Business Impact Analyses to determine critical functions and recovery priorities Develop update and govern Operational Resilience and crisis management plans Partner with technology teams to align and test Disaster Recovery strategies Lead incident response and crisis management during disruptions; coordinate recovery and communications Produce postincident reports and track lessons learned and corrective actions Monitor regulatory requirements industry standards and emerging resilience trends Design and deliver training awareness and preparedness programs Facilitate tabletop exercises and drive continuous improvement of response and recovery strategies Build strong relationships with leadership vendors service providers and technical teams Maintain Operational Resilience plans Facilities and Imaging Services policies in line with Canadian regulatory youll bring:Proven experience leading Operational Resilience Crisis Management and IT Disaster Recovery programs Strong expertise in BIA development recovery planning and operational resilience frameworks Deep knowledge of industry standards (e.g. ISO 22301 NIST SP 80034) Demonstrated leadership during incidents and business disruptions Ability to align Operational Resilience and technology disaster recovery plans Experience leading crossfunctional and multidisciplinary teams Strong analytical criticalthinking and riskbased decisionmaking skills Excellent stakeholder engagement communication and influencing skills Ability to manage priorities in a fastchanging environment Strong coaching change management and knowledgesharing capabilities CBCP MBCI or equivalent certification preferred; IT DR IT governance or cyber resilience certifications valuedWhats in it for you:Career Growth: Regular learning sessions and developmentopportunitiesTotal Rewards: Incentive pay annual salary reviews employer-paid benefits and pensionmatchingTime Away: Competitive vacation plus one paid volunteer day each yearFlexibility: Healthy work-life balance with employee wellness always top of mind complemented by a dress for your day approachAt Equitable were committed to fair pay and an inclusive accessible hiring experience.
