Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for a Quality Technical Analyst to join our Quality department based in Kinston NC.

Your Working Environment:

The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing specializing in the production of large advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

Your Challenges:

  • Developed and create FAIs for customer presentations in Net-Inspect

  • Support the review and inspection of supplier-related hardware - Document First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for internally produced hardware.

  • Finalize First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) / data collections.

  • Perform root cause analyses. Recommends and supports the implementation of corrective actions that are necessary to reduce or eliminate nonconformance to design specifications.

  • Performs investigation from the shop floor to the engineering lab toidentifyand eradicate defects from the product usingnumerousRoot Cause Analysis Tools.

  • Interfaces with company employees suppliers customers and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with contractual company and regulatory requirements.

  • Hascapability to understand the build process on the manufacturing line engineering requirements on the drawing planning operational requirements and then able to correlate the three to ensure that they are inline oridentifygaps.

  • Hasthe capability to work with the team and develop PFMEAs and control Plan.

  • Apply knowledge of quality policies and practices to develop document andmaintainquality systems and operating procedures.

  • Ability to plan and coordinate improvements in manufacturing (e.g. hardware and tool acceptance variabilityreductionand assembly operations etc.).

  • Ability to perform design reviews to ensure that quality is engineered into the product and tool.

  • Ability to perform configuration audits and reviews of products tools and processes.

  • Ability to compile measure and analyze process capability data models to perform trend analyses and risk assessments.

Your Boarding Pass:

  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • Aerospace and/or Automotive industry experience preferred

  • At least 4-6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing industryrequired

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite:100%

  • Vision:Daily able to see and read computerscreensand other electronic equipment with screens able to read documentsreportsand engineering drawings.

  • Hearing:Dailyabletoparticipatein conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.

  • Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings deliver information andparticipatein communications.

  • Equipment Operation (personal computer telephone copies fax machine and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors):Able tooperatemost office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.

  • Carrying:Weekly able to carry documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • Lifting:Weekly able to lift documents tools drawings electronicequipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.

  • Pushing / Pulling:Weekly able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.

  • Sitting:Daily able to sit forlong periodsof time in meetings working on the computer.

  • Squatting / Kneeling:Weekly able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.

  • Standing:Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.

  • Travel: 5% able to travel independently and at short notice.

  • Walking (includeroutine walking suchas toa shared printer to retrieve documents):Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.

  • Personal Protective Equipmentrequired:RequiredPPE includes but is not limited to Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Hearing Protection Respirators/Masks and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.

  • Administrative position only PPErequired:Safety glasses on manufacturing floor bump caps in designated areas and safety-toedshoesin designated work areas.

Travel Required:

  • 5% domestic/international travel
