We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established Cardiology team. This position is based at 137 Main Street in Medford MA and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is 40 hours per week including 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of dedicated administrative time. There is no weekend or on-call responsibilities for this hire.
The NP will care for patients across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions providing comprehensive outpatient cardiology care including the evaluation and management of new low acuity consults as well as ongoing follow-up care for established patients. The NP will also be responsible for interpreting and reviewing results of diagnostic testing for patients. This is an opportunity to work alongside a team of seasoned and well-established cardiologists in a collaborative and collegial environment with strong clinical support and the ability to build meaningful patient relationships in an outpatient-focused setting.

The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations including those with medical and/or surgical conditions as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions developing appropriate plans of care and conducting ongoing evaluations.Does this position require Patient Care

Essential Functions
-Provides direct care counseling and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory inpatient operative and/or procedural settings.
-Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
-Orders interprets and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
-Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic laboratory and physical examination findings.
-Consistently provides high-quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes procedure notes operative notes and discharge summaries.
-Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
-Orders medications and writes prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
