We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care in a detox and addiction recovery setting. The ideal candidate will have strong Med-Surg and behavioral health experience with the ability to assess monitor and manage patients undergoing withdrawal while ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
Perform physical and mental health assessments including vital signs risk and withdrawal assessments (e.g. COWS)
Administer and monitor medications and treatment plans
Observe and report behavioral and clinical changes
Maintain control and accountability of medications and substances
Triage and respond to emergent patient conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians NPs PAs and nursing staff
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and documentation requirements
Provide culturally sensitive and patient-centered care
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience required
Med-Surg experience required
Psych/Behavioral Health experience required
Ability to work in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
Certifications & Licensure:
Active RN license (New York State)
BLS Certification required
CPI Certification required
Successful completion of medication competency exam
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in detox addiction recovery or rehab settings
Strong assessment and crisis management skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
