Compensation:
- Local Rate: $40/hour
- Travel Rate: $50/hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and real-time ECG interpretation in a clinical setting. This role is critical in identifying arrhythmias responding to life-threatening changes and supporting patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate ECG rhythm interpretation
- Identify and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and initiate emergency protocols
- Conduct electrocardiograms (ECGs) with proper electrode placement
- Document cardiac rhythms during emergency situations and assist with response efforts
- Communicate effectively with nurses physicians and healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient records and documentation
- Enter and verify patient orders in the system
- Operate and troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pediatric telemetry experience required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Certifications:
- Telemetry Technician Certification required
- Dysrhythmia Course completion required
- BLS (AHA or Red Cross) required
