We are hiring a Training Specialist Commercial Underwriting Reporting To:Assistant Manager Training and DocumentationFull-Time/Part- Time:Contract / Secondment (12 months)Posting Date:April 23 2026Closing Date:May 8 2026Salary Range: $52800 - $69400Hours of Work:8:30 a.m. 5:00 :Office Location: 8.6Toronto ONGreat location! The team provides job specific training and communications through the intranet in-class training soft-skill training web-based tutorials peer training and self-directed learning assignments. The Department is responsible for supporting multiple divisions in the business including Residential Administration Residential Underwriting Sales and Commercial divisions nationally. The Training Specialist is responsible for the design development maintenance of training materials and delivering training sessions and programs. Support the Commercial Origination and Operation DivisionsFacilitate new hire onboarding programs development workshops and information sessions. Support the development of communication notices via e-mail and intranet web pages relating to policy and procedure changes quick tips system updates and departmental activitiesCompletes needs assessments and job task analysis to determine training needs Liaise with Subject Matter Experts Business Analysts and Management to gather content and understand department policies processes and procedures to documentCreate training design plans Create and maintain materials which include trainer guides workbooks job aids tests activities and story boards for eLearning developmentImplement training solutions in a variety of formats including virtual instructor-led self-study and peer-to-peer trainingEvaluate the effectiveness of training solutionsMaintain standards and update relevant sections of the company Intranet (Arthur) Maintain presentation and training materials using the MS Office (Word PowerPoint and Excel) Arthur Review 360 and and maintain materials which oversee the translation of documentation through an external translation companyProvide assistance coaching and training to address the inquiries and concerns from employees or management Special Projects as assigned by ManagementAdhere to policies /procedures to ensure AML requirements are met when and Attributes: Strong working knowledge of general mortgage lending guidelines with a focus on commercial lending and First National systems is -secondary education and/or equivalent work experience preferably in a technical writing or learning related discipline an asset.
