JOB SUMMARY
The Office Assistant is responsible for greeting patrons and assisting with the operations of the front desk for the Planning & Development Team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assists with operation of facility by registering patrons collecting fees operating cash registers and issuing fee receipt tickets; selling merchandise; maintaining shelf stock of supplies dispensing of rental equipment which may include lifting of heavy objects and providing instructions on use to patrons.
- Assists with public relations by greeting visitors handling inquiries and providing information and assistance and informing patrons of rules and regulations.
- Assists with hiring of front desk staff.
- Supervises customer service attendants assists with training and evaluation of front desk staff.
- Assists with maintenance of facilities by maintaining a clean work area providing general care of equipment materials and facility which may include the cleaning of restrooms and performing light manual labor and related duties as assigned.
- Answers telephone and directs inquiries.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-service training.
- Reports unsafe conditions matters of theft or illegal action to the Manager on Duty.
- Carries out additional duties as assigned by facility management or supervisor on duty.
