Job Summary
OVERVIEW
The University of St. Thomas Department of Emerging Media seeks applicants for a one-year full-time benefit-eligible visiting faculty member beginning in fall 2026 (preferred start date of August 1 2026). This is a one-year non-tenure-track position for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The successful candidate will teach six courses (24 credits) inadvertising and public relations and other courses in mass communication as materials are available for candidate use if desired. This position will also co-advise the student chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
In addition to teaching the faculty member is expected to perform service to the department university and community. The ideal candidate will show evidence of a strong record of accomplishments in teaching at the undergraduate level and scholarly work and publication in relevant disciplines. Professional experience is desired but not required.

Salary & Benefits
The University of St. Thomas offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits program which

The salary range is for this position is $65000 - $70000.
The University of St. Thomas has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The specific salary offered will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in advertising public relations strategic communication mass communication or a related field or alternatively ABD candidates nearing completion will also be considered. Demonstrated college- or university-level teaching experience is required.
