The Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer - FPSO E-House for the multi-disciplined engineering team within global system engineering organization will execute technical projects of world class power conversion and automation/control to ensure the design meets customer budget schedule contract and regulatory requirements.Job Description
What youll do
- Lead themechanical engineering scopefor FPSO E-House projects ensuring delivery toquality cost and schedule
- Produce and review designs specifications calculations and technical documentation for systems includingHVAC heat exchangers fire detection fire suppression gas detection Inergen piping mechanical handling and safety systems
- Manageengineering deliverables including document quality on-time delivery and customer comment resolution
- Act as the key interface betweenCustomer GE Module Fabricator and Sub-suppliers providing technical leadership across stakeholders
- Ensure designs comply withhealth & safety requirements international standards and class society rules and lead review of technical drawings layouts isometrics and 3D model inputs
- SupportFATs testing and commissioning activities and provide technical support toSales and ComOpsduring tendering.
What youll bring
- Bachelors DegreeinMechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
- 10 years experiencein a similar role withinFPSO offshore oil & gas marine power or utilities
- Strong experience in theoffshore marine industry especiallyFPSO E-house
- Technical knowledge of systems such asHVAC heat exchangers fire detection/suppression gas detection Inergen piping and mechanical handling
- Experience indesign engineering field engineering manufacturing shop assembly orspares/replacement parts support
- Ability to read and writetechnical specifications
- Strong stakeholder management communication and commercial awareness
- Willingness to travel as required
Preferred experience
- Mechanical engineering background inMarine / Offshore / Oil & Gas
- Experience withmechanical system studies such asHVAC sizing heat-mass balance cooling load ventilation sizing duct sizing pressure drop sound calculations and technical specification preparation
- On-site commissioning experience on large projects
- Experience working inmatrixed cross-functional and international teams
