Global Investment Banking Consumer & Retail Coverage Executive Director, Hong Kong

Posting Description:
As a seasoned Investment Banking professional you will have experience developing strong relationships with corporate and financial institution clients and working across different products. You will work on deals and transactions across the spectrum of our banking products including mergers & acquisitions equity and debt capital markets divestitures restructurings and cross-border transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact and lead banker on deals
• Review and coordinate the analytical work of junior bankers to move the marketing/execution process forward
• Train junior bankers
• Refine marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact
• Oversee the creation of financial projection models
• Identify and manage all risks in a given deal
• Liaise with internal and external parties on transactions (e.g. lawyers accountants counterparties)
• Lead client negotiations the Q&A process and management interviews
• Manage cross-border transactions and stakeholders
• Originate deals through the Consumer & Retail industry network and client coverage

Required Qualifications Skills and Capabilities:

• Bachelors degree in Finance Economics Business or a relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years of relevant investment banking experience with at least 5 years in the Consumer & Retail sector
• Deep domain knowledge in the Consumer & Retail industry as well as extensive deal execution experience
• Highly driven detail-oriented and diligent with strong analytical communication and writing skills
• Well-versed in ECM/M&A with a track record of leading transaction execution
• Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and senior management
• Self-directed highly motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong Mandarin proficiency to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients across the APAC region
