We are seeking a highly technical and visionary Sr. Director for Data and Analytics Platform Engineering. This individual contributor role demands deep expertise in designing developing and managing data and analytics platforms across multi-cloud hybrid infrastructures. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technologist with a strong background in cloud-native architectures data engineering and platform scalability.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and implement scalable data and analytics platforms across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

- Lead the design and development of cloud-native data pipelines storage solutions and analytics services.

- Ensure high availability performance and security of data platforms.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements.

- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities.

- Establish best practices for data governance metadata management and data quality.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.

- Drive automation and DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment of data services.

What Youll Bring:

Required Technical Skills

- Expertise in cloud platforms: AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Strong proficiency in containerization and orchestration: Docker Kubernetes.

- Experience with data lake and data warehouse technologies: Snowflake BigQuery Redshift Azure Synapse.

- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks: Apache Airflow dbt Informatica.

- Proficiency in programming languages: Python Java Scala SQL.

- Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks: Apache Spark Hadoop.

- Experience with real-time data streaming: Apache Kafka AWS Kinesis Azure Event Hubs.

- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform CloudFormation.

- Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments.

- Experience with monitoring and logging tools: Prometheus Grafana ELK Stack.

- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools: Collibra Alation.

- Understanding of API design and microservices architecture.

Impact Youll Make:

Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.

- 18 years of experience in data engineering and platform development.

- Proven track record of building and scaling data platforms in multi-cloud environments.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
