Job Summary

At were redefining email marketing for e-commerce brands by automating a lot of the day-to-day manual grunt work that goes into email marketing from segmentation to creating campaigns without designers to personalization.

This is a true 01 role with founder-level autonomy and the opportunity to define how a category-defining company goes to market.

Recent wins

  • Onboarded some of the largest e-commerce brands in the industry (Fabletics Sur La Table J. Jill One Kings Lane Backcountry etc) - turning them into loud believers in our product and vision

  • Brands seeing 15-20% lifts in email sales and up to 70% reduction in operational expenses

  • Built a differentiated AI-native platform that agencies and brands are actively seeking out as the legacy ESP stack starts to show its age

Wed like to work on

  • Building an agency partner program from scratch - identifying the top retention growth and full-service agencies landing them and turning them into a durable referral and co-sell channel

  • Developing tech partnerships across the e-commerce ecosystem (Shopify Klaviyo ecosystem adjacencies CDPs loyalty platforms reviews SMS etc.) that drive integrated pipeline

  • Owning our presence at every major e-commerce and retention event - turning conferences dinners and field marketing into a repeatable pipeline engine

  • Designing the commercial structures (referral economics co-marketing tiering enablement) that make the obvious partner of choice

Role Responsibilities

  • Build agency partnerships function from scratch - sourcing pitching closing and activating agency partners as a core top-of-funnel channel

  • Own tech/platform partnerships end-to-end: identify the right ecosystem players negotiate the relationship and drive pipeline through integrations co-marketing and co-sell motions

  • Run our events and field marketing strategy for partnerships - selecting events owning the pre/during/post playbook and turning spend into measurable pipeline

  • Partner with the founding team on messaging positioning and commercial terms for every partner segment

  • Stand up the systems playbooks and reporting that let this function scale - attribution partner enablement QBRs tiering co-marketing calendars

  • Work hand-in-hand with sales and CS to ensure partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline actually converts and retains

  • Act as the face of in the partner ecosystem - at events on podcasts in agency Slack communities and everywhere retention marketers spend time

  • Hire and grow the partnerships team behind you as the function scales

What were looking for (ideally)

  • 6 years in partnerships BD or GTM roles with meaningful time building programs from 01 rather than inheriting an existing motion

  • Prior experience in e-commerce SaaS MarTech or retention-adjacent platforms - you know the Klaviyo / Attentive / Postscript / Shopify orbit and the agencies that live in it

  • A deep rolodex in the e-commerce agency world or a clear track record of building one quickly

  • Comfort working with brands and agencies operating at $50M-$500M GMV - you understand what their operators actually care about

  • Strong commercial instincts - you can design referral economics co-sell motions and partner tiers that actually drive revenue not just logos

  • Event and field marketing chops - youve planned executed and measured partner events dinners and conference presences that produced pipeline

  • AI-first operator - you instinctively reach for AI to draft outreach build partner lists synthesize event leads generate enablement content and run the function with 10x the leverage of a traditional partnerships hire

  • Founder-mentality: you build systems not tickets. Youre comfortable operating in ambiguity setting your own priorities and owning outcomes end-to-end

  • Exceptional storytelling and relationship skills - partnerships lives and dies on trust and you build it fast
