Main Purpose of Job
POSITION DUTIES
- MAKE OUTBOUND CALLS TO EMPLOYERS TO COLLECT UI DEBT.
- NEGOTIATE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS TO COLLECT UI DEBT.
- GATHER TAX AND WAGE INFORMATION FROM EMPLOYERS TO ESTABLISH LIABILITY UNDERMARYLAND UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE LAW.
- ASSIST WITH REVIEW AND PROCESS CORRESPONDENCE THAT COMES FROM THE USPS.
- EXPLAIN STATE UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE LAWS RULES AND REGULATIONS TOEMPLOYERS AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVES.
- ASSIST WITH INCOMING TELEPHONE CALLS AND PROVIDE ACCURATE INFORMATION TOEMPLOYERS.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Four years and six months to five years of experience in a public/or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program or other programs.

1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and six months to one year of experience in a public/or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program or other programs for the required experience.
substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credithours on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Personnel employed in this classification will have access to federal tax information and must undergo a state and FBI criminal background check as a condition of employment.
