Colby Community College (CCC) invites applications for a full-time Custodian to maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment for students faculty staff and visitors of Colby Community College. Our Custodians perform a variety of custodial and minor maintenance tasks across campus facilities ensuring that classrooms offices restrooms and common areas are clean sanitary and well-maintained.
This is a flexible hiring position with the hours typically being morning shift: 5:00A - 1:00P day shift 8:00A - 4:00P evening shift: 4:00P - 12:00A. These hours are flexible and provided as an illustrative example.
The salary range for this position is between $16.75 to $17.75 per hour based on experience.
The selected candidate will also be eligible to participate in the Colleges health dental and vision plan as well as the State of Kansas KPERS retirement system. This position is eligible for relocation expenses in the amount of $2000.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Experience performing custodial or janitorial duties including cleaning sanitizing and maintaining facilities is required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Sweet mop vacuum and scrub floors hallways and stairways
- Clean and sanitize restrooms classroom offices and common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and recycle containers daily
- Dust furniture windowsills and other surfaces
- Report maintenance issues safety hazards and needed repairs
- Set up and tear down rooms for events classes and special functions
- Maintain custodial equipment and report malfunctions for repair or replacement
- Respond promptly and professionally to special cleaning requests or emergencies
- Assist with campus moves deliveries and other facility-related tasks as assigned

Colby Community College is located in northwest Kansas approximately 50 miles from the Nebraska and Colorado borders. From a humble beginning of 99 students in 1964 CCC now serves more than 2400 students annually.
In addition to a 57-acre main campus a 60-acre farm is used as a hands-on laboratory and training facility. The College also accommodates hundreds of off-campus students through face-to-face online and hybrid courses.
