Sr Account Manager Banking
Under general supervision this role is responsible for coordinating account administration for Banking clients. The position supports client servicing activities responds to inquiries produces reports and oversees transaction processing.
The role also partners with Banking Advisors to support business development efforts including client presentations and coordination with internal servicing teams. Responsibilities include resolving operational issues and ensuring a high-quality client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex client and partner inquiries related to banking products and services
- Support the development and implementation of tailored banking solutions including treasury management for new and existing Wealth Management clients
- Assist Banking Advisors with account administration business development initiatives and client presentations
- Conduct initial due diligence for credit opportunities including:
- Gathering financial statements
- Performing basic industry research and feasibility analysis
- Compiling required credit documentation
- Act as liaison with the National Credit Center throughout the credit underwriting process
- Coordinate with the Client Service Support Team (CSST) to execute daily transaction activity including:
- Payments fees and borrowing transactions
- Inquiry resolution and servicing requests
- Credit documentation and file maintenance
- Support deposit-related activities such as account openings exception processing and overdraft handling
- Ensure client account information is accurate and up to date across systems
- Develop and execute action plans to support client servicing needs ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
- Serve as a resource for relationship servicing teams on complex client relationships
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding account status documentation needs and servicing updates
- Build a strong understanding of client needs and effectively coordinate with internal partners to deliver solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery efficiency and operational processes
- Maintain working knowledge of loan agreements financial statements and related documentation
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in financial services client servicing or accounting-related roles
- Strong knowledge of banking products and services
- Understanding of internal banking functions and credit processes
- Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal partners

Salary Range:
$67500 - 111500 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
