Terminal Planning Associate
Job Summary
APM Terminals is looking for a Dispatcher OPS to play a key role in coordinating and monitoring daily terminal operations across vessel yard and gate activities. This role sits at the heart of the operation ensuring smooth execution of cargo movements while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and external stakeholders. The Dispatcher OPS works closely with the Shift Manager and operational teams to ensure productivity safety and service commitments are consistently met.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fastpaced operational environment has a strong eye for detail and thrives on coordination planning and realtime problem solving.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate and follow up on all vessel loading and discharge activities yard movements and warehouse operations
Receive and distribute loading and discharge instructions to operational teams and equipment operators
Provide operational support to quay crane and equipment operators during vessel operations
Ensure accurate preparation verification and control of documentation provided by shipping lines
Deliver and receive operational documents such as vessel plans lists and reports at the start and end of operations
Monitor and optimize the use of terminal resources including STS RTGs terminal tractors and yard equipment
Track productivity and operational performance using terminal systems and tools such as TOS cameras RTS N4 XPS and radio systems
Consolidate operational requirements incidents delays and deviations and report them to Operations
Maintain records of delays or events that may impact operational performance or customer service
Prepare internal and external operational reports as required
Handle customer requests and operational queries with a serviceoriented mindset
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problemsolving activities
Support Safety and HSE by reporting incidents and ensuring compliance with safety standards and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Manager to support operational excellence
What we are looking for

Preferably a university degree in business management process engineering operations or a related field
Knowledge of port or terminal operations planning is strongly preferred
Comfortable working with operational systems and digital tools to prepare reports and monitor performance
Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills able to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
A collaborative team player who can adapt to operational changes and support shared goals
Commitment to compliance with procedures safety standards and operational discipline
