The Madrid Delivery Center Manager is responsible for leading and operating the delivery organization that supports Border & Travel programs across the Europe region. The role ensures successful end to end delivery of customer projects builds engineering competences drives operational excellence supports pre-sales activities and maintains strong customer satisfaction through high quality delivery execution.
Current team footprint is Madrid and is composed by Thales employees and contractors.

Project description / role / responsibilities

As Madrid Delivery Center Manager you are responsible for the management and operational excellence of the delivery organization dedicated to Border & Travel programs in Europe. You will work on high-visibility strategic projects mainly in critical government contexts with high security availability and performance requirements. You will work in an international and multicultural environment with teams spread across several countries composed of internal employees and partners covering the entire engineering value chain.

You will be required to:

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Border & Travel programs from design to customer acceptance.
• Ensure contractual commitments in terms of quality costs deadlines scope and compliance.
• Supervise integration customization IVVQ deployment and production activities.
• Manage and develop large multi-site and multicultural multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Actively contribute to the pre-sales estimation risk analysis and solution feasibility phases
• Promote collaboration with other Thales teams to improve internal processes and tools.
• Represent the Delivery function to customers governance bodies and internal stakeholders

Your profile

Is your priority to manage complex and distributed delivery organizations while ensuring a high level of operational excellence

Do you have the ambition to structure transform and grow engineering teams in a demanding international context

You have an engineering degree or equivalent and experience in:

• Managing complex and critical IT programs
• Large-scale systems integration with high security constraints
• Identity biometrics secure documents and government solutions ecosystems
• Managing large technical teams (integration development architecture testing DevOps security).
