Job Summary

Reporting to the Correctional Health Program Director the Law Enforcement Programs Manager is responsible for the implementation coordination and oversight of law enforcement aligned and criminal justice focused initiatives and programming. This role serves as the primary liaison between Community Medical Services (CMS) and law enforcement agencies supporting the development of partnerships initiatives referral pathways and coordinated responses that connect individuals to treatment and recovery services.


This position also supports the advancement of broader criminal justice programming by contributing to cross-system collaboration program development and alignment across law enforcement courts and correctional partners in alignment with organizational goals. Also responsible for attending conferences regarding Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) and presenting as subject matter expert on MOUD in the legal system.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between CMS and local state and federal law enforcement agencies in designated region
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with police departments command staff and criminal justice partners
  • Coordinate meetings trainings and collaborative initiatives with law enforcement and justice system partners
  • Lead implementation and ongoing development of deflection diversion and law enforcement aligned programming
  • Design and advance programs that improve engagement streamline referrals and support successful outcomes
  • In conjunction with Correctional Health Manager Community Impact Manager and other Regional Leadership; collaborate with courts probation correctional systems and community providers to support continuity of care.
  • Support development of cross-system workflows that strengthen coordination across the criminal justice continuum
  • Build and maintain relationships with community providers to enhance referral networks and access to care
  • Coordinate and support training for law enforcement criminal justice partners community organizations and CMS staff
  • Supervise and support assigned program staff providing direction oversight and accountability
  • Oversee day-to-day program operations and ensure effective coordination across teams and partners
  • Support development and implementation of standardized processes for referrals coordination and collaboration
  • Accurate documentation and completion of reporting requirements aligned with organizational and funding expectations
  • All grant-related activities are executed in accordance with outlined requirements policies and compliance standards


Qualifications

  • Education Certification and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in criminal justice or field related equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in criminal justice law enforcement behavioral health or community-based programming
  • Ability to travel including assigned CMS locations
  • 2 years experience in an opioid treatment program setting is preferred


Tools and Equipment Requirements


  • Ability to use a phone computer printer and copier is required
  • Frequent use of Microsoft Office products (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)
  • Ability to use the internet and various web browser software is required
  • Frequent use of electronic health record to document patient encounters
  • Ability to use telemedicine equipment as requested


Physical Working Conditions


  • Requires sitting standing and bending associated with a clinic environment
  • Some lifting may be required
  • Combination of office-based and field-based work
