The MA may assist with clinical procedures maintains accurate documentation and provides administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations. Position Overview
As a Medical Assistant youll play a vital role in delivering compassionate high-quality care to women in our community. Youll support providers and patients throughout the visit while helping ensure smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Prepare patients for provider visits by completing the Advanced Standard Rooming process:
- Entering chief complaints
- Recording vital signs
- Reviewing medical history and allergies
- Performing thorough medication reconciliation
Work within the Encounter Guide to help close care gaps including:
- Fall risk and depression screenings
- Breast and colorectal cancer screenings
- Diabetic eye exams
Recheck elevated blood pressures and complete documentation in Epic including support for annual preventive visits.
Assist with inoffice testing such as:
- Blood draws
- EKGs
- Mental status exams
- Walking oxygen studies
- Pointofcare testing
- Administer vaccines and injections within scope of practice.
Schedule followup appointments per office policy.
Collaborate closely with providers and the clinical care team to coordinate and monitor patient care plans.
Qualifications
Medical Assistant (NonCertified):
High School Diploma or GED
BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
Preferred: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience
Certified Medical Assistant:
High School Diploma or GED
Active MA Certification/Registration (RMA CCMA or CMA)
BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
