Job Description:
A growing organization supporting federal programs is seeking an experienced Web Applications Administrator to manage and support web-based systems in a secure high-performance environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability security and efficiency of web applications while collaborating across technical teams to ensure seamless deployment and operations.
This position blends application administration with infrastructure support requiring someone comfortable working across both development and operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain web servers and web-based applications
- Manage website updates DNS configurations and overall web environment operations
- Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security standards
- Troubleshoot application issues identify root causes and implement solutions
- Provide technical support to end users and internal teams
- Coordinate with developers and system administrators to support deployments and updates
- Monitor application performance and implement improvements as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development and infrastructure management
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Security certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with Apache Tomcat and NGINX
- Familiarity with Java-based application development and deployment
- Proficiency with scripting and programming tools such as Python Bash or Perl
- Experience with Git and version control practices
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible
- Familiarity with DoD PKI environments
- Strong troubleshooting and performance monitoring skills
