AtkinsRéalis is offering an exceptional full-time opportunity for a Senior Transmission Line Engineer seeking to build a strong and sustainable career in the field of electric power transmission and distribution networks.
The successful candidate will be based at our Vancouver office and will work within a dynamic multidisciplinary and stimulating consulting engineering environment offering excellent opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
The role will focus primarily on electric power transmission line projects encompassing both High-Voltage Alternating Current (HVAC) and High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) this capacity the candidate will contribute to large-scale innovative and strategic projects playing an active role in supporting the energy transition and enhancing the reliability of electric power systems.
Your role
- Prepare conceptual and detailed design for transmission lines projects.
- Review the design basis memorandum Transmission lines Requirements detailed engineering scope and guide the assigned discipline engineers to align the engineering deliverables according to client requirements and AtkinsRéaliss Quality Management Systems.
- Preparation of Scope of Work (SOW) for survey staking and construction line route selection report conductor selection report preparation of specifications for material equipment construction and installation work.
- Perform Transmission Line Optimum spotting.
- Coordinate the work with internal engineering team and the client.
- Supervise the work of technicians and designers assigned to the projects.
- Construction support including resolving site queries attending site meetings and performing site inspections during the construction phase of projects.
About you
- A degree in Electrical Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
- . registration or Equivalent required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Transmission and Distribution lines design.
- Knowledge of PLS CADD PLS TOWER and PLS POLE software essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) French as a second language will be an asset.

Additional information
Expected compensation for this role is between $93800 - $124000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
