You will

  • Oversee day to day management of the assigned property or portfolio
  • Lead and oversee the development and performance of the property team
  • Prepare and execute the annual operating and capital budgets and monthly financial reporting
  • Oversee rent collection process take appropriate action as required to address arrears
  • Ensure tenants comply with lease obligations and resolve issues in accordance with established expectations
  • Source negotiate and administer third-party service contracts to deliver consistent high-quality service
  • Execute capital projects on time on vision and on budget
  • Review monthly financial statements ensuring cost control revenue collection and accurate administration of tenant recoveries in accordance with varied and complex lease recovery provisions
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure properties are maintained and operated to an Anthem standard delivering a consistently strong customer experience and great curb appeal
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed and building systems are functioning in an efficient and first-class manner with an emphasis on energy management conserving energy and controlling operating costs
  • Minimize risk and ensure safety by proactively updating and implementing site policies emergency response policies insurance matters and ensuring prompt response to all perils
  • Oversee key operations programs (e.g. security life safety emergency preparedness and incident response) ensuring procedures are current teams are trained and issues are documented and escalated appropriately
  • Coordinate tenant move-ins and move outs and work with construction team on tenant build-outs or Landlords work
  • Establish strong relationships with tenants and develop & maintain programs to foster positive tenant and customer relations
  • Oversee property promotions and support the development organization and execution of advertising and special events for the shopping centre
  • Remain current regarding the market area business trends community initiatives and other matters affecting the property
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
  • Collaborate across leasing asset management construction accounting development and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups contributing to assigned tasks and supporting the delivery of new house team initiatives
  • Be on call for property emergencies


You have

  • Minimum of 7 years experience managing real estate (retail / enclosed shopping centres an asset)
  • An active Real Estate license or willingness to obtain
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and Excel
  • Valid drivers license and vehicle
  • Have a knack for fostering positive relationships with tenants
  • Have proven that you are highly capable of multi-tasking
  • Are an independent self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Are a forward-thinking problem solver with the confidence to take charge and initiate

Salary range

$110000 - $130000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
