Social Service Worker, Brockville ON, Contract

This position is ideal for Social Service Workers (SSW) seeking full-time or part-time contract opportunities supporting adults in residential mental health and addictions programs across Brockville and Smiths Falls. This role offers $2427/hour (depending on experience and location) consistent hours and the opportunity to work in structured team-based environments.

About the Opportunity
You will be supporting a community-based mental health and addictions organization delivering 24/7 care across residential group homes treatment programs and supported living environments. Clients may present with complex mental health needs addictions and dual diagnoses requiring consistent hands-on support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support clients with activities of daily living (hygiene meals routines)
• Assist with medication prompting and monitoring
• Build therapeutic relationships and support recovery goals
• Maintain a safe structured and supportive environment
• Support crisis situations and de-escalation when required
• Complete documentation and communicate with care teams

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma in DSW SSW CYW Addictions & Mental Health or related field
• Experience in mental health addictions or residential care preferred
• Valid CPR/First Aid
• Vulnerable Sector Check (within 1 year)
• TB test (within 6 months)
• Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle preferred

Additional Details

• Full-time hours available (anticipated 46 weeks potential extension)
• 8-hour and 12-hour shifts (days evenings nights)
• Compensation: $2427/hour (depending on experience and location)
• Mileage reimbursement: $0.60/km
• Accommodation support available for select assignments
