Axiom Developer FIAT

Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.

We are seeking an experienced Axiom Developer to support the endtoend design development and enhancement of Axiom-based regulatory and risk reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong handson experience with Axiom versions 9 or 10 be able to work independently with minimal guidance and actively contribute to project delivery within a large enterprise or consulting environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Axiom Platform Development
Lead the design development customization and enhancement of solutions on the Axiom platform (v9/v10).
Participate in end to end project implementation including requirements analysis design build testing and deployment.
Ensure Axiom solutions comply with regulatory requirements internal controls and industry best practices.
Support enhancements fixes and optimizations of existing Axiom implementations.
Technical Design & Troubleshooting
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective Axiom designs.
Perform impact analysis and resolve technical issues related to Axiom configuration data integration and reporting.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects across development test and production environments.
Work closely with downstream and upstream system teams to resolve data-related issues.
Programming & Data Integration
Develop and maintain supporting code using:
oPL/SQL
oUnix Shell scripting
oPython
Support data extraction transformation and loading processes feeding the Axiom platform.
Validate data accuracy and integrity across integrated systems.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with business users project managers QA teams and technical stakeholders.
Explain technical designs and issues clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
Provide regular status updates and proactively raise risks or blockers.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

34 years of hands on Axiom development experience primarily with Axiom versions 9 or 10
Experience working in a large enterprise or consulting environment
Axiom & Technical Skills
Strong hands on experience in:
oAxiom configuration and development
oRegulatory or financial reporting implementations
Proficiency in:
oPL/SQL
oUnix Shell scripting
oPython
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities
Soft Skills (Mandatory)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to ramp up quickly in a complex environment
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail

Nice to Have
Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks or financial services data
Exposure to risk finance or compliance-related systems
Prior experience working in an onsite client facing role

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level geographic market experience and training and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80000$130000. This role is an existing vacancy.
