Advisor Academic-Industry Partnerships Carleton University Eastern Ontario (1-year contract)

Mitacs Business Development team members are the bridge between academia and industry. We help businesses not-for profit organizations and other organizations solve their R&D challenges by building partnerships with academia and using world-class talent from Canadian educational institutions. We are at the forefront of marketing Mitacs programs to businesses professors and students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with members of Mitacs Business Development Research and Programs teams to deliver high quality programming
  
• Work closely with stakeholders at Carleton University to fully understand the needs of researchers and students find industry and not-for-profit opportunities and identify the best programs to capitalize on the research opportunities uncovered.
• Speak with industry partners to determine their R&D needs connect them with specialists in academia and advise them on the best programs to leverage the research opportunities uncovered
  
• Create and maintain a network of partners and clients in industry and academia
  
• Provide support to the Business Development team as needed
  
• Provide business development support to all Mitacs programs as needed
  
• Provide business development and student engagement support
  

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• MSc or PhD or an equivalent combination of education and research experience
• Excellent communication skills

Hiring Range: $75650 - $84550

Hiring and Salary Range Transparency

Typically employees are hired transferred or promoted within the salary range specifically between the minimum and midpoint in the hiring range.

The salary range refers to the range of base salaries for a given position encompassing the minimum andmaximumamounts.
