DESCRIPTION:
As a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Supervisor at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will coordinate a skilled team of maintenance technicians in ensuring optimal performance of critical manufacturing equipment. You will promote excellence in preventive and corrective maintenance while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with Production Engineering and Quality teams youll contribute to maximizing equipment uptime improving operational efficiency and maintaining high manufacturing standards. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of safety continuous improvement and technical excellence as we fulfill our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree plus 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance with 2 years in a supervisory role
Preferred Fields of Study: Mechanical Electrical or related Engineering
Professional certifications in maintenance electrical systems or HVAC beneficial
Experience in GMP manufacturing environment preferably in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical electrical pneumatic and automation systems
Expertise in preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings schematics and maintenance manuals
Proficiency in safety protocols including LOTO confined space entry and arc flash prevention
Experience with TPM 5S and continuous improvement methodologies
Effective leadership skills with ability to coach develop and support team members
Proficiency in project management and scheduling maintenance activities
Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and documentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work rotating shifts including nights weekends and holidays as required
Experience managing contractors and vendors
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and maintenance management software
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $91700.00$137525.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
