Sea-Bird Scientific isseekinga highly motivated Production Assembly Technician I to support our Manufacturing & Operations this role you will use a variety of hand and power tools fixtures jigs test equipment and work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly assemble and/or test instruments or subassemblies. This position relies primarily on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the job functions.

This role reports to the Production Supervisor Manufacturing & Operations.

This is an onsite day shift role and will be part of our Sea-Bird Scientific Manufacturing & Operations Team in our Bellevue WA location.

In this role a typical day will look like:

• Perform pre-assembly quality check on all components
• Follow detailed assembly instructions in a variety of formats (i.e. drawings schematics bills of material internal procedures or some combination thereof) and report work completed on a daily basis
• Perform quality checks on completed assemblies as needed
• Understand and meet quality and delivery requirements
• Recognize and report problems with quality processes equipment or materials to Production Lead Supervisor or Operations Manager
• Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing best practices
• Participate in Kaizen Events

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year of related work experience

It would be an asset if you have:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong electro-mechanical skills (soldering proper wire stripping and crimping techniques)
• Basic knowledge of necessary instruments and tools
