About the role
We are looking for caring and reliable Domestic Assistance Support Workers to support older people living independently in their own homes.
In this role you will focus on helping clients maintain a clean safe and comfortable home environment enabling them to live independently and with dignity. This is a non-personal care role centred on practical household support. Shifts are available during weekdays based on client needs.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with general household cleaning (vacuuming mopping dusting)
- Laundry and linen changes
- Dishwashing and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Light meal preparation
- Observing and reporting any changes in a clients wellbeing
- Following service plans and completing basic documentation
- Travelling between client homes within your local area includingHurstville Miranda Bayside Mortdale Riverwood Illawaong and surrounding suburbs.
Skills and Requirements
- Current drivers licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance is mandatory.
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Clear communication skills and a friendly respectful approach
Reliable punctual and committed to quality care
Flexible availability to meet client needs
Ability to follow care plans and record information accurately
