As a business development representative you hunt for new business build lasting relationships and own your pipeline from start to finish. No office no fixed desk. What will your role in the team look like
You own your territory. As a business development representative at Tranter you work remotely and take full ownership of your sales pipeline in the Benelux region. You drive new business nurture existing accounts and collaborate closely with the aftersales manager Benelux to make things happen.
The role starts with a solid onboarding period. You learn the processes get familiar with Tranters products and services and start building relationships with existing customers. From there you shift into full commercial gear.
What does that look like in practice You proactively reach out to prospects identify leads and guide them through the entire sales cycle from first contact to closed deal. You prepare quotations process orders and follow up until the ink is dry. Speed and precision matter here.
You also serve as a key contact for both inbound inquiries and outbound outreach. Customers rely on you for answers on delivery timelines order confirmations and technical challenges. You dont just pass questions along; you find solutions.
Behind the scenes you coordinate service and maintenance schedules for technicians. You make sure the right people tools and parts are in the right place at the right time. It requires sharp planning and clear communication with service centers in Germany and Italy external technicians and Tranters factories.
Occasionally you visit customers in person. Because strong relationships are built on more than email.

What do you bring- Several years of experience in a similar sales or logistics role with an mbo/hbo level of working and thinking.
- Good working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems you know how to use them to manage your pipeline and stay on top of your workload.
- Fluency in Dutch and strong English skills both spoken and written.
- A valid driving license and your own vehicle.
- You are proactive solution-oriented and able to read what a customer needs before they spell it out. You know how to set priorities keep a cool head when things get busy and follow through on what you commit to.
