Senior Manager Product Security
What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the this vital role you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to counter emerging threats to Amgen products throughout the regulated supply chain worldwide particularly related to diversion theft and criminal activity. This leader is responsible for directing response and remediation activities related to global supply chain incidents including diversion and theft and for collaborating across Amgens diverse internal network to ensure the effectiveness and agility of the Product Security program.
As a member of the Global Security Product Security team your focus will be on asset protection as it relates to supply chain security. Responsibilities include the development of internal policies procedures and standards in partnership with key stakeholders as well as working closely with industry and government agencies to enhance overall product security and safety.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight and support to global supply chain product security initiatives in partnership with Supply Chain Security and Operations.
- Support a cross-functional steering committee including representatives from Global Security Operations Supply Chain Legal and Corporate Audit.
- Define and operationalize strategies for threat monitoring incident reporting and response enforcement protocols and other key security functions.
- Support the development of tools and systems used to monitor security threats impacting the supply chain.
- Leverage the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC)
- Provide Amgen leadership with metrics KPIs and reports to keep the business informed about emerging and ongoing threats to Amgen products.
- Create and execute strategies to promote education and awareness of Product Security issues affecting Amgen both internally and externally.
- Accountable to represent Amgen interests in industry and government working groups task forces and committees (e.g. PSI HDA).
- Supply chain security audit framework ownership.
- Facilitate security audits of vendors suppliers and business partners both proactively and in response to specific concerns.
- Manage activities related to the supply chain security audit program in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Assess site risks and vulnerabilities for product security and create response plans to maintain effective security procedures.
- Build and maintain relationships with law enforcement and emergency services agencies to facilitate communication and response.
- Coordinate efforts with other directorates within Global Security both regional and functional.
- Select train and manage contract workers and consultants including drafting RFPs making recommendations negotiating contracts providing leadership and critically reviewing deliverables and invoices.
- Conduct and manage internal and external investigations as needed.
- Law enforcement engagement and external coordination

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of experience in private sector global or corporate supply chain security preferably within the biopharma industry
OR
Masters degree and 4 years of experience in private sector global or corporate supply chain security preferably within the biopharma industry
OR
Bachelors degree and 6 years of experience in private sector global or corporate supply chain security preferably within the biopharma industry
OR
Associates degree and 10 years of experience in private sector global or corporate supply chain security preferably within the biopharma industry
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in private sector global or corporate supply chain security preferably within the biopharma industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of GxP environments (GMP GDP etc.).
- Proficiency in security systems and the ability to understand improve and recognize their limitations.
- Experience with supply chain security standards and programs (e.g. TAPA CTPAT).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% including overnight and weekends.
- Professional Security Certifications (e.g. CPP PSP)
- Hands-on leader capable of operating at a strategic level with a track record of successfully operating supply chain security in dynamic collaborative environments.
- Ability to engage influence and inspire teams.
- Deep knowledge of supply chain security protocols standards and practices.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and act quickly.
- Versatility in adapting to rapidly changing threat landscapes managing detailed specifics and communicating effectively with leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to collect and evaluate information and prepare clear and concise written reports outlining issues resolutions and conclusions.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks work well under pressure and consistently exercise sound judgment.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including dynamic interpersonal abilities consensus-building exemplary presentation skills and the ability to write professional documents clearly and concisely.
- Self-starter capable of working independently.
- Commitment to the highest degree of integrity compliance and confidentiality.
- Experience working with key partners as part of an Incident Management Team.
- Proven ability to foster internal and external relationships to shape the program collaborating across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker skilled in translating business requirements into security solutions.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
