Job Summary
Our client a major bank in New York City is looking for Equities Trade Support Specialist
This on-site role 5 days in the office.
6 months initial contract with possible extensions or option to hire.
Rate: $90-106 on W2 possible C2C as well.
Equities Trade Support
Job Description:
Provide direct front-office technology support to Equities traders middle office users and Compliance teams on the trading floor
Monitor trading platforms and FIX network connectivity to ensure system stability and availability
Diagnose and resolve real-time trading issues including detailed investigation of compliance-related inquiries
Communicate major incidents impacts and resolution status clearly to key stakeholders and senior management
Gather analyze and document business requirements from traders ensuring proper tracking prioritization and transparency
Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for vendor and internal development teams to deliver enhancements
Share end-to-end business workflows with Support and QA teams to strengthen regression testing and operational readiness
Maintain and continuously improve the knowledge base support runbooks scripts and technical documentation
Qualifications:
Over 5 years of experience supporting mission-critical front-office trading applications within Equities including U.S. Market Making ETFs Electronic Trading Global Program Trading and Convertible Bonds
Strong understanding of high-touch trading workflows FIX protocol OMS platforms IOI processing market data and CTM flows Tidal or other scheduler systems
Proven experience handling regulatory and compliance-driven requests and inquiries including Reg NMS Reg SHO CAT ACT ORF and TRACE
Proficient with SQL querying JIRA for issue tracking and Excel for operational analysis and reporting
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across front office middle office and control functions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
Self-motivated and adaptable with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure trading environment
Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus
