MobileMammo NW is the South Puget Sounds first dedicated Mobile Mammography Program established by the TRA Medical Imaging Foundation and operated by TRA Medical Imaging.

The Mobile Mammography Supervisor for MobileMammo NW serves as the clinical technical and operational leader for the organizations mobile breast imaging program. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of safe high-quality mammography services within a mobile clinic environment across South Puget Sound and surrounding communities while directly supervising and supporting mobile mammography staff.

In addition to performing screening mammography as a technologist the Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership direction and accountability for technologists assigned to the mobile unit. This includes staff scheduling training performance management coaching and fostering a culture of teamwork accountability and exceptional patient care. The Supervisor ensures all team members adhere to established clinical protocols safety standards and organizational expectations.

This role maintains responsibility for the technical integrity and operational performance of the mobile unit ensuring strict compliance with MQSA ACR FDA and Washington State regulatory requirements. The Supervisor oversees imaging quality patient safety radiation protection infection control equipment functionality and documentation compliance in alignment with MobileMammo NW standards and TRA Medical Imaging policies.

Operating in a dynamic mobile setting the Supervisor ensures the unit remains inspection-ready at all times leads quality control and assurance programs and is accountable for workflow efficiency and consistency across all service locations. This includes oversight of equipment setup calibration maintenance and coordination with vendors and internal partners to ensure uninterrupted operations.

The Mobile Mammography Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between mobile staff TRA leadership MMNW leadership and board scheduling teams and community partners. This role plays a critical part in program planning process improvement initiatives and expanding service reach while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and community needs.

In support of the mission of MobileMammo NW the Supervisor champions equitable access to breast cancer screening for underserved and high-need populations. Pay and Benefits:

Pay: $47.59 - $80.91 per hourbased on relevant experience skills and abilities.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    1. Supervise develop and mentor technical staff providing ongoing coaching performance feedback and professional development to ensure high levels of competency engagement and accountability across the team.
    2. Oversee and standardize workflows and protocol development for Mammography (MM) across TRA ensuring consistency efficiency and alignment with clinical best practices and organizational goals.
    3. Serve as the primary liaison to radiologists ensuring alignment on image quality standards protocol enhancements and staff competency development while proactively addressing opportunities for clinical and technical improvement.
    4. Provide subject matter expertise and leadership support to internal departments referring providers and patients regarding Mobile Mammography NW (MMNW) services ensuring accurate information problem resolution and a high level of service.
    5. Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements including ACR MQSA state inspections annual evaluations (e.g. Corwin) and radiation safety standards; maintain continuous readiness and lead corrective actions when needed.
    6. Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives monitoring imaging quality patient safety and operational metrics and implementing process improvements to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
    7. Manage staff scheduling and staffing operations including oversight of PTO low census adjustments and resource allocation ensuring appropriate coverage and efficient operations in collaboration with leadership.
    8. Provide operational oversight across multiple service locations including the MMNW coach outpatient sites and corporate office ensuring consistent standards team support and seamless service delivery.
    9. Maintain comprehensive operational knowledge of all MMNW equipment and accessories ensuring proper use staff competency preventative maintenance coordination and rapid issue resolution to minimize downtime.
    10. Actively participate in organizational leadership activities including committees strategic planning initiatives and cross-functional meetings contributing clinical and operational insight to support program growth and alignment with organizational priorities.
    11. Develop analyze and present program performance reports to leadership committees and the Board of Directors providing clear insights on operations outcomes and opportunities for improvement.
    12. Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs)including exam volume quality metrics patient satisfaction and outreach effectivenessensuring transparency accountability and data-driven decision-making.
    13. Provide leadership input on strategic and operational initiatives including program expansion workflow optimization and service delivery improvements to enhance access efficiency and patient experience.
    14. Serve as a key liaison between frontline staff and executive leadership ensuring effective communication elevating concerns and aligning team operations with organizational goals and expectations.

    Mammography Technologist Responsibilities

    The MM Specialist will also travel regularly on the MMNW coach working as a mammography technologist. They will also work as a Mammography Technologist at various TRA Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Imaging NW sites when the mobile mammo coach is not operating.

    1. Prepares patients for radiologic exams with thorough explanations of the procedures and clear instructions.
    2. Obtains a thorough patient history as it relates to the exam to be completed.
    3. Accurately implements the orders of the referring physician producing radiographs with minimum patient exposure and repeatability.
    4. Presents high quality radiographs and pertinent patient history to radiologist for interpretation.
    5. Performs necessary computer functions associated with patient exam
    6. Responsible for keeping work area and patient exam areas neat and stocked with appropriate supplies; and participating in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
    7. Follow the HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures.
    8. Check work email daily.
    9. Responsible for providing daily coverage as working mammography technologist in all mammography specialties.
    10. Provide oversight for mammography quality control and medical outcomes tracking/evaluation.
    11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Education/Work Experience

    • ARRT Advanced certification in Mammography ARRT (M)
    • Must be and maintain compliant with all CME education certification requirements and provide documentation.
    • ARRT Registered Mammography Technologist (M) with WA State licensure
    • A valid drivers license and auto insurance in good standing is mandatory.
    • Current BLS certification required (for clinical staff)
    • Ability to drive a large RV preferred (no CDL required)
    • Minimum 35 years of mammography experience preferably in a mobile setting
    • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
    • Experience with MQSA compliance QA/QC programs and accreditation processes

    Job Knowledge/Skills
