WhatYoullDo Here:
Compilesubmitand track permit applications based on requirements for each AHJ including municipal regional provincial federal and conservation authorities
Engage stakeholders with tact and diplomacy often balancing competing priorities
Establish project systems and procedures to forecast PLAA and land requirements
Tracking and producing metrics related to third party technical matters such as PLAAs conditions of approval land requirements traffic management
Utilize available GIS software to reference geospatial data and coordinate relevant data inputs with GIS specialists
Extensively use Microsoft Excel to create and manage large data sets
Support workstreams in compiling PLAA applications andacquiringPLAAs on time andin accordance withthe Project schedule
Review and interpret technical engineering information and plans detail sheetsspecificationsand construction documentation to meet project permitting and approval requirements
Support workstreams inmaintainingcompliance with PLAAs and applicable regulatory requirements
Facilitate communication from cross-functional teams ( engineers contractors the client AHJs)
Coordinate reporting and status updates to senior leadership and the client
Organize andmaintainproject files records systems and procedures
Seekto improve and streamline processes and procedures related to third party matters
Participates in technical meetings with AHJs the client and subject matter experts
What You Bring to the Team:
Graduate from a recognized Urban Planning or Engineering Program
3-5 years of experience in the construction industry or related field
Rail transit construction is an asset
Skilled at Microsoft Excel
Willingness toutilizeGIS interface and other applicable project software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to present and analyze complex data
Solutions oriented and resourceful
Strong complex problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Expected compensation for this role is between $80000-$95000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to multiple factors including skills experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into addition to base salary ONxpress also offers a comprehensive medical and dental program RRSP with company matching and the potential to participate in our discretionary performance based bonus program.
This role is a replacement position.

This position is with ONxpress Civils (CJV aka the Design & Construction team); the project segment responsible for the modernization and modification of the key area network including countless innovations in the way the regional rail infrastructure is built.
