Job Summary

The Senior Manager Category Management Watches is responsible for leading the strategic direction and commercial performance of a defined portfolio of watch brands. The role drives execution against sales and margin targets while ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Serving as the senior point of contact for brand partners and key internal stakeholders the Sr. Manager oversees cross-functional collaboration across merchandising retail marketing operations and finance. A strong understanding of market dynamics consumer trends and the competitive landscape is essential to inform strategy and deliver sustainable growth.

Job Responsibilities:

Assortment Management & Planning
Lead the development and curation of an exceptional watch assortment ensuring it aligns with market trends and customer preferences
Support the global Masterworks strategy for the US market
Implement strategies to optimize the product mix considering factors like style price range and complication to create a complementary assortment
Foster and execute the defined assortment strategy cross departments
Stay informed about innovations in the watch industry and their impact on consumer preferences and market trends
Analyze watch sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for assortment refinement enhancing performance and profitability
Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis of the watch industry including design trends technology advancements consumer preferences and evolving distribution channels and adapt business plan (Board: sales plan and rolling forecast)
Lead the development and execution of the business plan and rolling forecast according to available data findings and market situation
Review KPIs track performance and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement and create comprehensive action plans for marketing sales and other related activities

Brand Management
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with watch brands negotiating favorable terms and conditions
Negotiate brand allocation in our POS defining sales targets stock investment capex contributions and furniture personalization
Initiate and negotiate marketing activities to enhance assortment strategy
Attend relevant watch industry events conferences and trade shows to stay connected with industry peers and stay updated on emerging trends

Merchandising & Buying
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of watch pricing dynamics considering factors like brand prestige materials craftsmanship and market demand
Possess specialized knowledge of luxury and fashion watch segments understanding the unique factors driving consumer decisions in these categories
Drive merchandising and buying efforts to achieve budgets and sales targets (collection and order management)
Manage the entire life cycle of the watch collection (including merchandising buying range planning and face out actions)

Inventory Management & Performance Monitoring
Monitor and analyze inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and stock-outs
Manage stock allocation and store prioritization
Review stock KPIs track performance and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Conducting reviews on model stock procurement and collection management

Sales Support
Partner with Retail teams to drive achievement of defined targets across the portfolio
Collaborate with the Training team to support the development and implementation of brand and product training initiatives
Oversee and support marketing and activation initiatives (e.g. events roadshows client engagement programs) to ensure commercial impact and brand alignment
Conduct regular market visits to evaluate performance identify opportunities and ensure adherence to brand standards

Project Management & Coordination
Lead and manage brand-related projects
Facilitate cross-departmental discussions to ensure alignment and collaboration
Drive proactive engagement with peers in other markets to exchange insights and promote best practices

Qualifications:

7 years merchandise management experience preferably for a luxury watch or jewelry brand
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Sales or a related field is preferred luxury retail experience is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills; experience in conducting market research and analyzing sales data
Attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
Knowledge of order processing systems and CRM software
Familiarity with international business operations is an advantage

SALARY RANGE: $115000 - $125000 per year
