Description of Work
The Atlantic Conservation Coalition (ACC) program is a multi-state coalition with North Carolina South Carolina Virginia and Maryland whose mission is to increase carbon sequestration through protection and restoration of the regions forests wetlands and coastal habitats. The environmental assessment and monitoring of carbon benefits throughout the region requires quality assurance and control independent of environmental information collection activities.Key Responsibilities include:
Providing expert QA and QA data assistance to organizational staff.
Quality Assurance for data and document control including QAPP tracking and maintaining other records of pertinent Quality Program activities
Coordinates data working group meetings and facilitates integration of data quality information from project managers and partner organizations.
Addressing Coalition Member contractor EPA and other QAPP input and collaborate with the QAM in submitting final quality documents for approval by the EPA.
Providing support to the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) in oversight of QA/QC environmental program and implementation including identifying and providing QA Training.
Collaborates with the QAM to conduct assessments and review environmental data.

- Knowledge of analytical evaluative and problem-solving techniques necessary for scientific work.

- Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 8-5 with flexibility 40 hours a week.

This is a time-limited position subject to funding availability which may last up to 36 limited employees are eligible forState Benefits. Minimum Education and Experience

Division Description
The Atlantic Conservation Coalition office oversees the implementation of the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Governor Coopers Executive Order 305 (An Order to Protect and Restore North Carolinas Critical Natural and Working Lands). The application proposes 21 shovel-ready projects to protect and restore high-carbon coastal habitats and peatlands to maximize carbon sequestration and coastal resilience benefits and protect restore and develop agricultural and forest land promoting sustainable forestry management practices to increase carbon sequestration.
