The Product Manager supporting the Growth Initiatives within the Individual Retirement Product organization will play a critical hands-on role in managing and optimizing Prudentials Growth portfolio delivering retirement security in brand new ways. This role is ideal for a seasoned product professional with deep annuity expertise demonstrated strength in financial acumen and solid understanding of the evolving retirement landscape.

The Product Manager will actively manage the P&L for both new and in-force annuity business monitor market and competitive trends and partner closely with Pricing Actuarial Investments and Distribution to deliver profitable growth while effectively managing addition this role will support the evaluation and development of new growth opportunities that enhance enterprise value and advance Prudentials long-term strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the P&L for Growth annuity products collaborating across the business system to proactively manage the economics of new and inforce business to maximize value generation and manage risk
  • Monitor emerging business results market insights and changes to the economic and regulatory environments
  • Track and assess competitive offerings across annuities and other solutions that compete with Prudentials Growth portfolio with a focus on pricing dynamics product features and broader market trends
  • Partner with Pricing to understand evolving changes in product pricing inputs and assumptions and their influence on product economics
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders on the Future Growth Initiatives team to share insights and gather feedback on proposed product actions
  • Support development of RFP/RFI responses pitch decks and term sheets and related materials tied to annuity growth opportunities
  • Manage the Growth product innovation pipeline and backlog evaluating and prioritizing initiatives to ensure effective sequencing and contribution to the Growth Initiatives Product Roadmap
  • Partner closely with Individual Retirement Product Development team to evaluate viability and execute product changes through development implementation and launch

What Were Looking For

  • 5 years of direct experience in annuity product management pricing or strategy
  • Strong working knowledge of annuity products such as fixed fixed indexed (FIA) registered indexlinked (RILA) or variable annuities
  • Experience managing or influencing product P&L and inforce economics
  • Familiarity with annuity pricing inputs competitive rate setting and profitability analysis
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 preferred
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Ability to partner effectively across disciplines with Actuarial Investments Distribution Compliance Legal and Operations
  • Clear confident communicator who can explain annuity economics to senior stakeholders
  • Intellectual curiosity and comfort working through ambiguity in new and exploratory spaces

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $123700.00 to $204100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
